This is one of those mystery pieces that nonetheless may must fall under the category of great design. Constructed of sculptural and lovely black walnut this piece could be of the California craftsman school. The form reminds me of works by Ole Wanscher but we believe it to be of American origin. The craftsmanship is amazing and the wood has a gorgeous oiled finish. The upholstery has been redone in a appropriate and durable Maharam Kvadrat Steelcut Trio wool (black/brown). The wood frames are in great condition and show only minor wear. Price is for the pair.
